Who invented the camera?

The first camera was invented by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce in 1826. It was called the 'heliograph' and used a pewter plate coated with bitumen to capture images. Later, George Eastman developed the first portable camera in 1888, which he called the 'Kodak'.
